Yarraloch La Cosette Pinot Noir

Yarraloch La Cosette Pinot Noir 2014

Yarra Valley, Victoria   |    750ml   |    13%
It's difficult to find a high quality Pinot Noir at a reasonable price, however this new offering from Yarraloch fits the bill perfectly. This 2014 Yarraloch La Cosette Pinot Noir is a single-vineyard wine from Yarraloch's Coldstream vines in the heart of the Yarra Valley.

An eminently drinkable Pinot Noir, this offers all the typical varietal notes of black cherries, herbs, spice and stewed plums. A wine that is ready to go now, this is an exceptional Yarra Valley Pinot Noir with wide appeal.

"Just over 500 dozen made. It's much like the single vineyard release, at slightly lower volume. Cherry-plum, tangy cranberry, orange-like acidity and subtle herbs and spices. Gentle muskiness. High drinkability. Drink By: 2020 Price: $25.00 Date Tasted: 02 Feb 2016 Alcohol: 12.5%" - Campbell Mattinson, winecompanion.com.au.

Established in 1998, the goal of YarraLoch, in the words of owner Stephen Wood, is to “Create world-class wines from the Yarra Valley which are distinguished by their elegance, balance and complexity.” Under the guidance of skilled winemakers David Bicknell and Ray Nadeson, YarraLoch produces outstanding examples of Chardonnnay, Arneis, Pinot Noir, Shiraz, Merlot and Cabernets.

The twelve hectares of vines that make up the 3 vineyard sites are located seventy kilometres apart. This enables them to explore the various sub-regions and sites of the Yarra Valley and match the varietals to the sites. YarraLoch also sources Shiraz from low-yielding vineyards in Heathcote to supplement their portfolio.
