Stella Bella, Margaret River

Stella Bella meaning ‘Beautiful Star’ is one of the leading wineries of Western Australia's pristine Margaret River region. Stella Bella Wines and its success today evolved from the fusion of two passionate minds; Stuart Pym and Janice McDonald. Together they decided to craft wines that would rival the benchmarks of Australia and beyond, with a strong belief in the unique and expressive terroir of Margaret River.

The committed and passionate team at Stella Bella ensure all wines receive meticulous attention to detail and care from the vineyard to the bottle. Their philosophy is to respect the varietal characteristics of the fruit to craft regionally expressive wines. Each parcel of fruit from the six different vineyards is vinified separately to preserve its individuality. Winemaking techniques are utilised to enhance the varietal aromas, flavours, textures and create unique blending components.

This allows them to taste, contemplate and classify all wines according to their style and quality. With white wines, an emphasis is on bright aromatics, palate texture, mineral acidity and pure elegance. Stella Bella's Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon Sauvignon Blanc, and Chardonnay are consistently recognised among the finest in Margaret River.

With their red wines, Stella Bella aim for intensely perfumed wines, great flavour concentration and supple cocoa powder tannins that leave your palate salivating for another glass. Not surprisingly for Margaret River, it is their Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Merlot leading the charge here, with Shiraz of a consistently high quality also produced at Stella Bella.
