"95 Points. Whole berries and 15% whole bunches cold soak for 5 days, after 7 days on skins, pressed and matured in new and used French oak for 16 months. The distinctively spicy, peppery bouquet is the overture for a powerful palate, rippling tannins at the feet of black fruits, oak adding to the all-up complexity. 14.5% alc. Drink By: 2031 Closure: Screwcap" - James Halliday,

"Complex nose of dark plum, ripe cherry aromas. Spice and pepper notes with cedar oak rounds out the bouquet. The palate is bright with an array of red fruits and dark cherries. Medium bodied mid palate with integrated tannins and oak. The wine has great balance and structure which will give great longevity. Age for 10 to 15 years." - Scotchmans Hill

Today the winery is a modern facility featuring an 8000 cubic metre temperature controlled barrel hall that houses up to 1000 barrels. The winemaking equipment ranges from modern and progressive through to traditional, with the ultimate aim being to produce outstanding quality and highly individualistic wines
