Voyager Estate Shiraz 2016

Voyager Estate Shiraz 2016

Margaret River, Western Australia   |    750ml   |    14%
Voyager's Shiraz has been going from strength to strength and this example, from the outstanding 2016 vintage is another significant leap forward. Another brilliant example of Margaret River Shiraz, the 2016 Voyager Estate Shiraz offers lovely purity and fleshy concentration while retaining the finesse that is the hallmark of the Voyager style. The palate is silky textured, with plenty of sweet red, black cherry fruits with hints of spice, nougat and fine tannins. While this is a wine with a long life ahead of it, it's pretty irresistible now.

"94 Points. This is iron fist in a velvet glove stuff. Its immediate inclusion of black fruits, spice, French oak and tannins all have a stately quality, yet the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. This is a new generation Margaret River shiraz that has moved on from being a bit experimental to the stage where it can stand up to Margaret River cabernet. He also set out to ensure that, above all else, the quality of wine being made at Voyager Estate would always be the best that nature, expertise and pure hard work could provide.
