"Estate-grown chardonnay. Margaret River. It has been a key performer for quite some time now, pretty much reliably so. They’ve done it again here. This is a wine of power, weight and balance, though it’s more of the latter than it is of the former two, if that makes sense. It tastes of cashews and sunny stonefruit though it drips with pear and carries exotic floral notes too. Its every step speaks of chardonnay and Margaret River, though in no way is it shouty. Voyager Estate is located in the premium wine producing region of Margaret River, Western Australia. Latest statistics show that, although only producing 4% of Australia's wine by volume, Margaret River wines account for 23% of the country's premium wine production. Voyager Estate is proud to be among the select wineries that contribute to this production.

Voyager's oldest vines date back to 1978, just over 10 years after vines were first planted in the area. When current owner, Michael Wright, took over the property in 1991, he set out to expand it and develop a visitor destination that would be a showcase for the region. He also set out to ensure that, above all else, the quality of wine being made at Voyager Estate would always be the best that nature, expertise and pure hard work could provide.

NOSE: Lifted aromas of sweet citrus fruit and dried pear mingle with white floral nuances and hints of honeycomb.

PALATE: The textural palate displays vibrant citrus fruits with flavours of lime, lemon meringue, sweet grapefruit and hints of dried pears. The wine displays exceptional purity with an attractive savoury element, which contributes complexity to the palate, finishing with a clean saline mineral edge.

WINEMAKING NOTES: An aromatic, complex, textured and elegant style of Chardonnay which showcases the purity of fruit from our sustainably farmed, pristine coastal vineyards. Early hand-harvesting, use of wild yeast fermentation and grape solids, combined with regular bâtonnage and the finest French oak have all contributed texture, complexity and balance to the wine.
