Over the past decade, The Lane Vineyard has built an excellent reputation for producing some of the finest wines in South Australia's Adelaide Hills wine region. With a focus on delivering approachable examples of the region's hero wine varietals, their wines are brimming with flavour and loads of varietal character.

This 2019 The Lane Block 5 Shiraz is another brilliant example of Adelaide Hills Shiraz; beautifully perfumed and approachable, the palate is intensely flavoured with red fruit and dark chocolate flavours and spice, all sitting on a medium-bodied palate. A lovely drinking Shiraz that offers plenty of appeal in the short to medium term.

Located high in the Adelaide Hills at up to 500 meters, over the past few years the Lane Vineyard has emerged as one of the most promising wineries in this acclaimed wine region. The hot sunny days and cold evenings in the region, naturally imparts a mineral freshness and well balanced acidity to the grapes grown at The Lane Vineyards.

The Lane Vineyard Block Series show true varietal character and the influence of the terroir of The Lane Vineyard. Block numbers indicate the patch within the vineyard where the fruit is grown, while the minimum intervention winemaking allows the vineyard to do the talking. The Block Series are stylish, fresh, fruit driven wines with a true sense of place.

VINTAGE: Cool temperatures and below average rainfall throughout spring resulted in even flowering and a healthy fruit set, with some varieties requiring crop thinning. A warm to mild summer with few heat spikes provided ideal ripening conditions and minimal disease pressure. A warm period in April helped late varieties ripen fully, and ensured an outstanding vintage
