Reviews of the 2017 vintage included below;

"96 Points. 91% cabernet sauvignon, cold-soaked for 12 days before fermentation and extended maceration, matured in French barriques (40% new) for 10 months. It is supremely elegant and long, with black and red berry fruits, and cedary flavours ex oak and fine tannins. Extraordinary value. Screwcap. 14.2% alc. To 2037. $25" - James Halliday, Halliday Wine Companion 2020.

VINEYARD & WINEMAKING: This wine is a blend of 60% cabernet sauvignon, 25% merlot and 15% malbec, the malbec not mentioned on the front label given the quantity offered in the blend has varied from 0% to 15%.

The fruit was picked and sorted in mid April 2018. It was cold soaked in small fermenters for twelve days before undergoing an extended and gentle maceration allowing for the softening of the tannins. Thirty percent of the wine was matured in new Bordeaux oak barriques. The balance went to one year old (50%) and two year old (20%) Bordeaux barriques for thirteen months maturation before final blending and bottling in August 2019.

THE WINE: This wine displays bright and lifted aromas of dark berry and bay leaf, and gentle oak support. The wine is effortlessly mouth filling with juicy red fruit flavours balanced with acidity and gentle fine grained tannins which lead to a long finish. It is well suited to red meat dishes such as a roast leg of lamb with garlic and herbs.
