The winemakers at Oakridge lead by the high regarded David Bicknell, use traditional methods, expert hands and meticulous care, to craft wines that emanate freshness, balance and length with every sip. All grapes are handpicked to maintain the quality Oakridge is renowned for, utilising traditional winemaking techniques and minimal intervention, with expert hands using their innate knowledge and understanding for successful vintages year after year.
The Oakridge grapes are grown in varying altitudes and terroirs driven by Chief Winemaker David Bicknell, so whilst all reflecting the characteristics of the 100% Yarra Valley fruit, each also exude their own personalities. It is the varying altitudes and terroirs that allow the team to continually create award-winning wines that do justice to the many Oakridge Wine varietals; each and all exemplifying the Oakridge elegance, freshness, purity, balance and length that create world-class table wines.
TASTING NOTES: Lively acidity, with grapefruit providing the tension and a little meal and slight touch of sulphides on the nose. Engaging wine that is as much about the textural palate, as it is the finesse and detail. Long, extremely refreshing and a bargain.
