Mr Mick Pinot Grigio 2018

Coonawarra, South Australia   |    750ml   |    11.5%
Mr Mick' is a relatively new range of wines launched by Tim Adams; one of Australia's most talented winemakers. The range is named in honour of K.H Knappstein; a legend of Australian wine and a former mentor of Tim Adams. Mr Mick was never one to shy away from progression and experiment with new concepts surrounding wine. Many of these became great, successful wines, well known in the Australian wine industry.

The 2018 Mr Mick Pinot Grigio follows both this philosophy as well as that of the rest of the range, an easy-going' wine that creates interest and satisfies many palates. Like most Italian varieties, Pinot Grigio suits a broad array of cuisine.

The climate and soils of the Limestone Coast wine region enable us to produce Pinot Grigio very similar to the grape's origin in Italy. Grapes were harvested at their peak flavour maturity from a single vineyard in the south Australia Limestone Coast wine region. The juice was separated from skins, carefully transported home to Clare, cold settled and fermented for 14 days. A steady cool ferment ensures a focused palate with maximum Grigio fruit expression. It is great wine just to enjoy on its own, or as an apertif or will pair well with a varied range of food, particularly with spicy dishes or seafood!
