Langhorne Creek, South Australia   |    750ml   |    14.5%
A standout winery of South Australia's Langhorne Creek, Lake Breeze has long been considered one of Australia's leading Cabernet makers - delivering a quality that always punches above its weight.

This 2017 Lake Breeze Cabernet Sauvignon was made from grapes from 40 year old vines on the Follett family vineyard, traditional open fermentation was employed followed by maturation in French oak barriques for 20 months, prior to bottling. The wine displays a lifted aromatics of black fruits and violets, along with some cedary oak nuances. The concentrated palate has a lovely silky texture, showing chocolate and cassis flavours and a wonderfully long finish.

"94 Points. Langhorne Creek is a full-on (cool) maritime climate, so wines of this quality and character priced this low are a bargain - and '17 was a great vintage. The wine is flush with cassis, a splash of plum and oak, and ripe tannins. Screwcap. 13.8% alc. To 2032. $26" - James Halliday, Halliday Wine Companion 2020.
