The Follett family vineyard was established in the 1880's by Arthur John Follett, the great grandfather of Greg Follett, the winemaker. The varieties grown on the vineyard include Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Chardonnay, with small blocks of Grenache, Merlot, Petit Verdot and White Frontignac.
The wine, which has had very minimal oak influence, shows enticing tropical fruit characters and some citrus elements on the bouquet.
The palate is fresh and vibrant with flavours of melon and pineapple and a long dry finish. Pair with the catch of the day or salt and pepper squid and please spare a thought for our vineyard workers who once danced amongst the vines avoiding the menacing bull ants who resided there!
