Ingram Road Pinot Noir 2018

Ingram Road Pinot Noir 2018

Yarra Valley, Victoria   |    750ml   |    12.8%
In recent years Ingram Road Pinot Noir has established itself as one of the better value Pinot Noir's currently on the market. Made by the Helen's Hill winery of the Yarra Valley, the 2018 Ingram Road Pinot Noir offers up plenty of black cherry, raspberry, strawberry flavours on an elegant palate. Adding interest are some complex earthy herbal notes, hints of spice, firm but not over powering acidity and soft tannins. A superb value Pinot Noir and this special price.

"94 Points. Selectiv'-harvested, a mix of new and old clones destemmed and co-fermented, 10 days on skins, then pressed to French barriques (10% new) for mlf and 11 months maturation. Bright, clear crimson-purple-hue; Helen's Hill nailed this wine in a hectic vintage, the fragrant, high-toned flavours of red cherries and berries make oak a vehicle, not an end in itself. $22.00 12.8% alc. Drink By 2028 Screwcap" - James Halliday, winecompanion.com.au.

Ingram Rd is an impressive range of wines from Helen’s Hill Estate, a boutique winery in the renowned Yarra Valley. The Ingram Road range of wines are made following traditional boutique wine making techniques only found at the top end of the price range; premium fruit from select vineyards in the Yarra Valley and Central Victoria, small batch sizes, open top fermenters, full French oak maturation, “wild” fermentation, hand crafted by a single winemaker...all trademarks of quality boutique wines.

Ingram Rd delivers these qualities, without the price tag! Scott McCarthy has handcrafted these wines from premium quality Yarra Valley fruit which lack the premium price tags.

"Following traditional winemaking processes, utilizing full French oak maturation our Ingram Pinot Noir display rich varietal characters on the nose, sweet cherry and strawberry flavours on the front and mid palate with a savory, earthy (spicy) finish on the back palate. Thanks to the French oak, the wine has a wonderful full textural mouth weight and long lasting finish. The best Pinot Noir under $20.00? We would like to think so! " - Helens Hill Wines.
