Helen Joey Inara Pinot Noir

Helen & Joey Inara Pinot Noir 2019

Yarra Valley, Victoria   |    750ml   |    13%
It's never easy to find a good drinking Pinot Noir at a reasonable price, however this 2019 Inara Pinot Noir impressed enormously when we recently tasted it. Made by the highly regarded winemaker Meg Brodtmann MW at Helen & Joey Estate, this single vineyard Yarra Valley Pinot Noir has enormous appeal.

A study in classic cool-climate Yarra Valley Pinot Noir; this is beautifully approachable and fresh with plenty of lively raspberry, strawberry, red cherry and stewed rhurbab flavours, which are supported by gentle spice and silky fine tannins. A wine that is ready to be enjoyed now, this is brimming with appeal.

Helen and Joey Estate is located in the prestigious Yarra Valley, just 45 km north east of Melbourne. The cool continental climate, paired with substantial average rainfall provide excellent grape growing conditions. The Fernando Vineyard on Spring Lane in Gruyere was purchased in 2010 by Helen and Joey. Since that time much passion, hard work and expertise has gone in to producing premium fruit of all the varieties planted across this stunning 200 acre farm.
Yarra Valley
Inara Pinot Noir 2019 reflects the warm and even ripening conditions. It is the brightest and juciest of our Inara Pinot Noirs to date. More careful handling has produced a much softer and expressive Pinot Noir than we have previously achieved and we are super happy with the result. Bright red fruit flavours and tangy, mouth watering crunchiness all the hallmark characters. It’s just a little more more-ish than a red wine ought to be.

This is best defined as a, “with food or without food style”. With food think about the flavours of the middle east or Morocco around vegetarian dishes, chicken or quail. Will also suite subtle, spiced dishes of the orient.
