The Five Geese vineyards is located in the Blewitt Springs sub-region of South Australia's McLaren Vale; an area known for producing some of Australia's best Shiraz. Devoted Vigneron Sue Trott carefully tends to her vines (planted in 1927 and 1965) utilising organic principles to produce very limited quantities each year.

The 2016 Five Geese Shiraz is another flavoursome McLaren Vale Shiraz with a nice touch of savoury and spice complimenting the ample plum, red berry and licorice-like flavours. Ready to be enjoyed now, this offers high quality McLaren Vale Shiraz drinking at a sensational price.

Nose: Subtle yet complex nose of savoury, spicy dark blackberry, herbs and slight vanilla aromas.

Palate: A restrained and elegant palette with soft plum and spice flavours in the middle and a gentle tannin finish at the end. Lingers nicely, dry and spice

Oak: 16 months in predominately French and American oak hogsheads

Ageing Potential: This wine has the potential to develop with careful medium-long term cellaring.
