Reviews of the 2016 vintage included below;

"95 Points. Contract-grown. Full, deep crimson hue; this is a powerhouse in its price class - in Burgundy it would be labelled Bourgogne. It can certainly be drunk now, but will equally certainly see its deep-seated cherry, spice and tannin flavour and structure come into full flower over 5 years. Drink By: 2029 Price: $28.00 Date Tasted: 28 Mar 2017 Alcohol: 13%"- James Halliday, Halliday Top 100 Wines 2017.

"Clyde Park’s “entry level” pinot noir is in good form. Yes. Easy wine to recommend. Perfumed, bright, fruity-enough, characterful. Lively with cherry-plum and violets, a slip of smoky-cedasriness not hurting matters a jot. Some spice but not a great deal. Gets on with it in a pretty-but-satisfying fashion. Excellent buying and drinking. Rated: 92 Points Tasted: Aug17 Alcohol: 13% Price: $28 Closure: Screwcap Drink: 2017 - 2021" - Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front.

Clyde Park Vineyard was established in 1979 when the varieties of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir were planted on the property. Further plantings since have increased the vineyard to 35 acres, expanding the original Pinot Noir and Chardonnay and adding Shiraz, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Gris. In all we have 7 clones of Pinot Noir, 6 clones of Chardonnay, 2 clones of Shiraz and Sauvignon Blanc and a sole clone of Pinot Gris.

The Clyde Park Locale range of wines are typically made from fruit sourced from regional Geelong. The wines are made with a minimalist approach ensuring optimum fruit intensity, flavour and structure. Locale wines deliver immediate satisfaction, yet will reward medium term cellaring.

The Clyde Park Locale Pinot Noir was fermented in small 2 Tonne batches at temperatures of 25-32 degrees. Portions of the different batches underwent natural and whole bunch fermentation. Subtle plunging to all ferments ensured a wine with delicacy, yet richness affording a wine of structure which finishes with softness and length.
Clyde Park has created this Pinot Noir from several different clones, which went through natural and whole bunch fermentation. Gentle pigeage was applied to all ferments which delivers a wine that is delicate, yet offering a richness and structure which has a silky, deep crimson red finish.

The Locale range of wines are made from fruit sourced from local regions of Geelong, and in most cases, from the subregion of the Moorabool Valley.
