Stella Bella Semillon Sauvignon Blanc 2010

Stella Bella Chardonnay 2010

Stella Bella Chardonnay 2010

Margaret River, Western Australia   |    750ml   |    12.8%
Over the past decade Stella Bella has established itself as one of the shining lights of Margaret River wine, their Chardonnay is rarely anything short of stunning.

The 2010 Stella Bella Chardonnay find the seemingly perfect balance between restraint and power. Taut citrus, pear and mineral elements build in the mouth and match perfectly with the savoury, nutty yet subtle fine‐grained oak. The finish has a pleasant grapefruit‐like tang and the signature length of flavour; a Margaret River Chardonnay well worth discovering.

“95 Points. Bright straw‐green; the aromatic bouquet and delicate fruit on entry into the mouth is quickly changed by the intensity, grip and length of the finish. A wine certain to age with majestic grace. Drink by 2020.”- James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion 2013 Edition.

Stella Bella Wines is a small, privately owned wine company, located in the Margaret River region of Western Australia South West Coast that makes wines under the quixotic names of Stella Bella, Suckfizzle and Skuttlebutt.

While the brands are differentiated by sub-regions, vineyards, style, price and curious names, the objective is always to create wines of expression, personality and interest with an emphasis on unique imaging.

The Stella Bella Cellar Door is situated 2kms on Rosabrook road, from the Bussell Hwy turnoff (only five minutes from the town centre of Margaret River).

Appearance: Brilliant pale lemon with green highlights

Aroma: The bouquet has a panoply of scents of great intensity and complexity – there is an interplay of the aromatic notes of white flowers, anise and lemon curd with the deeper notes of spicy oak, some yoghurt‐like nuances and a hint of struck match.

Palate: The deft palate shows both restraint and power. Taut citrus, pear and briny/mineral elements build in the mouth and meld perfectly with the savoury, nutty, fine‐grained oak which nevertheless remains unobtrusive. The finish has a pleasant grapefruit‐like tang and the signature length of flavour which shows great persistence. A wine of elegance & finesse.

Drink It: Now until 2021
