Pierro LTC Sauvignon Blanc Semillon

Pierro 'LTC' Semillon Sauvignon Blanc 2015

Margaret River, Western Australia   |    750ml   |    13.5%
The name 'LTC' is so clearly etched in the history of Pierro and the Margaret River wine industry, that the front label now refers to it as merely as the LTC. It was once the 'Les Trois Cuvées' - for the three varieties found in the blend; Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay while others insist LTC refers to a 'little touch of chardonnay'. The 2015 of Pierro LTC Semillon Sauvignon Blanc is another benchmark example of this famous Margaret River style, which is sure to please the many fans of this brilliant white wine.

"The L.T.C. seems to defy expectation and, in 2015, there is a brightness and an immediacy that makes it appear overtly delicious. In other words, it’s less restrained than usual. There is that intensity and concentration of flavour, a touch of lemongrass, some zingy tropical fruit flavours, all balance, fleshy texture and a crisp, zingy, ultra-dry finish that lingers. Some may find this irresistible - and who can blame them. We think it’s worth saying that the 2015 L.T.C. will age as gracefully as previous vintages." - Pierro Wines.

Here is a fresh, lively wine that seems to sparkle and dance in the glass.

The wine typically has restrained aromatics, some lemon citrus notes and dried herb complexities, while the palate is subtle and delicate showing fruit purity and delicious tanginess. There is tight structure with power building, before a finish featuring refreshing, zesty natural acidity. A wonderful wine pre-dinner or a superb match with fresh seafood.
