The Longhop range of wines are produced by Domenic Torzi and Tim Freeland. The former school mates first mooted the idea of making icon wines from the Adelaide Plains in 2002. Torzi and Freeland first priority was to secure old vines vineyards something they were able to do by convincing a small band of growers about their vision. These growers embraced this by delivering Torzi and Freeland premium grapes in order to showcase the power and rich fruit flavours of the Adelaide Plains.
First release. Fruit sourced from low cropping descendant and old vines. Whole berry open fermented, basket pressed. Aged in Seasoned French and American oak barriques for 13 months prior to unfiltered bottling."- Longhop Wines.
