Lerida Estate Canberra District Shiraz 2010

Lerida Estate Canberra District Shiraz 2010

Canberra, New South Wales   |    750ml   |    14%
The Lerida Estate is the vision of owners, Jim Lumbers and Anne Caine. Their vineyard produce world class wines predominantly Pinot Noir reflecting the Lake George ‘terroir’ in the Canberra District and are now recognised as being among the most stylish in the Canberra District.

A classic cool climate Shiraz from the hills surrounding Canberra, which offers cool brambleberry and spice aromas with a surprisingly generous palate. The flavours are complex and refined, berries and a little pepper, with a long, fine tannin finish. With age, the wine will become progressively richer, revealing warmer, more complex flavours, riper berries and a little liquorice. Drink now, but definitely worth cellaring 4-6 years.

Review of the 2009 vintage below;

"94 Points. Medium red-purple; the fragrant bouquet has spicy black fruit aromas, the medium-bodied palate supported by fine, slightly dusty, tannins, with good line, length and balance. Drink By: 2020 Price: $35.00 Date Tasted: 24 Jan 2011 Alcohol: 14%" - James Halliday, winecompanion.com.au
