Reviews of the 2012 vintage included below;

"95 Points. Light straw-green: this wine is often more reserved in its youth, but here is full to the brim with citrus from the semillon and a cascade of tropical fruits from the sauvignon blanc, passionfruit, lychee and guava to the fore. Great now, but will age well. Screwcap, 12% alc. Rating 95 Points. To 2017. $25"- James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion 2014 Edition.

"94 Points. Along with Cape Mentelle, Voyager Estate and lately, Fraser Gallop Estate, one of the most consistent performers in the region. Juicy passionfruit, gooseberry, lime and aromatic herbs. Lively, good fruit flavour, bursting with energy, a little slipperiness, but mainly cut and flinty. That’s a textbook job I reckon. Tasted: May13 Alcohol: 12% Price: $25.00 Closure: Screwcap" - Gary Walsh, The Wine Front.

Lenton Brae was established in 1982 by Perth town planner and architect, Bruce Tomlinson. Lenton Brae's philosophy is to produce a limited range of wines, for which the Margaret River region is renowned, and for these wines to be amongst the best of their type. To this end, four wine styles are produced; Semillon Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Cabernet Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Trophies awarded across the range at regional, state and national levels can attest to the dedication of the Tomlinson family in their endeavours.

The 2013 vintage was warm and dry providing perfect conditions for the early-ripening varieties of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc.

As with previous releases, the majority was fermented in stainless steel tanks to retain freshness and vitality and at cool temperatures facilitating a gradual conversion of sugar into alcohol by selected yeasts. 8% was barrel fermented in new French oak. This years blend is 55% Semillon 45% Sauvignon Blanc.

The Sauvignon Blanc contributes aromatic elements with the Semillon providing the weight and depth of flavour on the palate.

We encourage consumption within the first 2 years of vintage, though under appropriate cellaring conditions, the wine will soften and develop the honeyed, toasty characters of bottle age. Bottled in June, 2013.

Since 1996, the Lenton Brae Margaret River Semillon Sauvignon has been awarded 7 trophies and 11 gold medals at regional, state and national competitions.
