King Valley, Victoria

King Valley
The King Valley region of North Eastern Victoria offers an interesting mix history and innovation.
The famous Brown Brothers winery was established in Milawa back in 1889 and has long been regarded as the King Valley’s finest winery. The King Valley also boasts the greatest concentration of alternative varieties of any wine region in Australia.
The King Valley has been likened to stepping into ‘Little Italy’ and visit the region and you’ll begin to understand why. Dynamic Italian winemaking families such as the Pizzini and Dal Zotto, have established wineries that continue to innovate through the generations.
Not surprisingly many well-known Italian wines are leading the alternative varieties of the King Valley, including the likes of Sangiovese, Nebbiolo, Pinot Grigio, Arneis, Barbera and the much loved Prosecco.
