Less than two hours from Adelaide, the Clare Valley boasts more than 40 cellar doors, most within 20 kilometres of the main town of Clare.
Regarded as Australia’s premier Riesling region inspired the naming of the Riesling Trail - a recreational trail for walking and cycling, travelling along 35 kilometres and connecting the townships of Auburn, Leasingham, Watervale, Penwortham, Sevenhill, Clare and White Hut.
While the Clare Valley is well known for its Rieslings, the region also produces some outstanding examples of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Semillion and ChardonnayThe Clare Valley is home to some of the biggest names in Australian wine including; Grosset, Pikes, O’Leary Walker, Taylors, Leasingham, Pauletts and Tim Adams.
