Giesen Sauvignon Blanc 2011
The Giesen Winery is a classic example of the philosophy that flows through all aspects of thier business: Simplicity is Key. It is Giesen's firm belief that beautiful architecture is not the secret to producing the best quality wine. Their winery is state-of-the-art in terms of functionality, which is best suited to the purpose of their business. Like most parts of Giesen, the winery has expanded dramatically since they first purchased the original winery site, bare land in Vernon Street, Blenheim, in 1999. Eight years later, the adjoining land was purchased for expansion, with the goal being to develop and evolve the winery with equipment of the highest possible standard.

"Pale yellow colour with green hues. The aroma is fresh and vibrant with a base of rich tropical fruit but dominated especially when young, by fresh lime and lemongrass aromas as well as a fresh herb note. The palate shows a lovely fruit weight on the mid palate with flavours reminiscent of gooseberry and citrus and this is surrounded by a juicy, pure acidity giving the wine it’s zesty exuberance with a fresh, dry finish." - Giesen Wines.
