"Well it’s really good. I like it much better than the 2010 release. Great colour. Licorice, white pepper, meaty, blackberry and boysenberry, floral edges and hedgerow. It’s more to Syrah than Shiraz and shows the best possible face of this vintage. Silky and smooth with a lively acid cut and gentle astringency, fine ripe tannin and a finish of good length. Much to like here and if we talk about ‘light and shade’ of vintage and vineyard sites, then there’s both to be experienced here, though admittedly there’s more light falling on this particular wine than shade. As an exploration of vintage and as a point of difference, I recommend it, though its main draw card is that it’s a bloody good drink. Rated : 91 Points.
