Cape Bernier Pinot Noir 2010

Cape Bernier Pinot Noir 2010

Bream Creek, Tasmania   |    750ml   |    13.5%
Cape Bernier Vineyard is situated at Bream Creek on Tasmania's east coast overlooking historic Marion Bay. This is an ideal site for genuinely cool climate viticulture as the coastal location and maritime weather patterns ensure a frost-free spring, mild growing conditions throughout summer, and an extended cool autumn ripening period. The easterly aspect provides extended hours of sunshine while the sea breezes of the coastal location temper the heat of summer.

"94 Points. Very good clear crimson-purple colour; a totally delicious pinot, with beautifully defined red and black cherry fruit, superfine tannins and balanced oak. Not a hair out of place. Drink By: 2016 Price: $35.00 Date Tasted: 08 Dec 2011 Alcohol: 13.5%" - James Halliday, winecompanion.com.au.

"From the Bream Creek area of the east coast, this pinot has plum and blackcherry aromas, with some pepper and dried-herb flourishes. It’s full and rounded with a fruit-sweet mid-palate and light, soft tannins, but not a lot of extract. Easy-drinking pinot. Now to 2018. 13.5 per cent alcohol. 92/100."- Huon Hooke, Cellar Talk, October 9, 2012.

"This ruby red, medium to full-bodied Pinot Noir has a bouquet of dark plum and wild berries, complemented by a complex palate of spicy fruit and French oak characters. The savoury fruit, natural acid and soft oak tannins of this wine blend well to make this a great food wine ideal with smoked salmon, cheese, chicken, veal or duck."- Cape Bernier Wines.
