Simon ArmsManaging Director

Simon Arms established Auscellardoor in 1999 with a desire to give emerging wineries representation within the industry.

After commencing his career with the Hardy Wine company back in 1987, Simon later worked for the Tisdall brand, entering into the management of the company's national marketing and sales. In 1997 Simon joined the Wingara Wine Group, working as National Brand Manager for Katnook Estate, whilst also developing the Riddoch and Deakin Estate brands.

While business is booming and keeps Simon busy all year round he still manages fleeting trips to the likes of South Africa and Turkey to represent Australia on the Tennis Veterans circuit and maintain his treasured number one national ranking.

kate chisholm

Corporate Wine Consultant
 

Kate joined the Auscellardoor team in February 2008. Although this is her first formal foray into the wine industry Kate has always had an interest and a passion for wine, fostered by her father who always maintained a full cellar and promoted a healthy wine drinking culture at home.

After completing a Commerce degree, Kate spent two years abroad principally sampling her way through the European wine scene. Kate spent the next five years in the corporate world of a CBD Law Firm before finally deciding to follow her dreams and pursue a career in the wine industry. Kate commenced a postgraduate degree in Wine Technology and Viticulture at Melbourne University and will complete her Masters later next year.

Kate's background in the corporate world combined with her ever developing wine knowledge enables her to provide a first class service to her clients. These services include expert wine recommendations, food and wine matching advice, tailored and unique wine events and wine related gifts.

Key Partnerships & Online Manager

 Andrew joined Auscellardoor in 2003 after spending twelve months travelling and teaching English in Japen. Prior to his travels Andrew completed a Commerce degree at Monash University during which time he discovered a passion for wine that eventually led him to his role with Auscellardoor.

Andrew’s role includes the management of several key commercial partnerships and overseeing the online activities of the business, including production of the fortnightly Corker newsletter along with being our resident twitter. Andrew plays a key role in wine selection and enjoys discovering new and interesting wines, particularly from Australia’s smaller producers. 

Currently undertaking the WSET international Wine and Spirit course, Andrew also recently spent two weeks exploring the top domains of Burgundy and the Rhone Valley of France, counting a tour of the famed JL Chave of Hermitage as a highlight. Andrew’s personal wine preferences include Clare Valley Riesling, Barossa Shiraz and Margaret River Chardonnay.

Naila Sequeira

Finance & Administration Manager

After completing a double degree in Commerce & Business Systems at Monash University, Naila was keen to gain experience working with a family-owned business in her chosen field of Accounting and E-commerce and so began her career at Auscellardoor during the busy Christmas period in December 2006. 

Having grown up in the Middle East, Auscellardoor exposed Naila to a wine culture she had never experienced before and ever s

ince, her interest in wine and the ever changing industry has grown rapidly. 

During her time at Auscellardoor, Naila has also proven to be a valuable asset to the business by taking on additional roles in logistics, IT, human resources, project management, health & safety - a true all rounder!!
